Family Christmas vacation. We choose The Fives as they advertised a lot of child friendly amenities such as baby food, high chairs, cot etc etc. However, we found that this wasn't the case even asking multiple times. We never received what was promised and asked multiple times to various staff. The staff are friendly but they can't deliver what is not available, even though it is advertised, we even showed the email confirmation which listed all the child amenities they said they would provide and the staff said that is out dated.Tried to address with hotel management but were they didn't do anythnig to address the feedback. Hopefully this is warning for other families if you are considering a child friendly resort, do NOT choose The Fives. Read less

The Yoga and Pilates were taught by a certified fitness instructor and were a great way to start the morning, in a beautiful setting.Already looking forward to returning next year! Read less

In general this is just an other average 4-5 star hotel. Here were some disssapointments : no free water sports available for a result on the beach, no proper ice cream for such a hot climate, no stage for shoes, no proper coffee just paid option, long lines for lunch.

Overall pretty good resort but customer service is challenging. They value premium members over guests and can’t get spots at restaurants without waiting 2 hours. Food is great if you have patience. Not much space for nightly entertainment. Some small bugs in rooms. Still at resort so will update for more.

I could not wait to write this review! One reason is because of the mixed reviews I have read about this resort. I actually looked into changing my vacation plans do to some of the negative reviews. I took my two sons, ages 24 and 27. About 5 years ago, we decided to take annual vacations together. This year was the best - by far and they others were great! We stayed for 1 week, the first week of March. I don't know where to start but if we could still be there, we would. I am a Prestige member which was extra special but it still would have been wonderful if not. As a Prestige member, we did have many perks. Our butlers were Andres and Sergio. They took care of our every need and if they needed to find us on that huge resort, they did! By Day 2, they knew our names, our favorite things, and catered to us like royalty. Especially Andres - he seemed like he was there from sun-up to sun-down. He was always working and always helping others. If you can request Andres and Sergio, you will not be disappointed. I even loved the young lady who cleaned the rooms. I had Karina. She always came with a smile and a red tropical flower in her hair. Everyday, she made me something special for my room - usually using towels whatever she could come up with. The nightly turndown service was also great. After long days at the beach, pools, activities, or excursions, I always came back to an immaculate room, which smelled amazing and the best chocolates ever!There was something to do for all of us. Weather was amazing each day! Fun activities for all ages during the day and wonderful nightly events which were all entertaining and lots of fun! Bali Beds, Casa de Rosa, Spa, Excursions, Friendly staff and people, personal service, beautiful weddings, great food and drinks, and so on and so on. The monkeys and other wildlife provide fun and entertainment for all. We were there a week and I think we had meals at all of the restaurants. Food at each was outstanding! Tai restaurant was our favorite. Get reservations there if you can. Everyone on the resort wanted to go there. Arezzo, the Italian restaurant was soooo good. My boys' favorite was visiting Flavors for breakfast and late evenings after dinner - boys love to eat! It is buffet style and has everything. They would wake up early on vacation just to get there fast! I had a Penthouse suite with jacuzzi on top level and they had a two-bedroom suite. That was great for them, each having their own space. I could go on and on and on, but I will let you experience for yourself. Do NOT read the negative reviews, read mine! I really don't know why people complain about things. I would tell you if there were issues, and there were none! Exceptional vacation! We usually do something different each year, but I would not be surprised if we ended up at this very resort again next year!
