ALINA LEE. WELL, IT’S BEEN WARM AND MUGGY ALL DAY LONG. EVEN YESTERDAY. AS MUCH AS WE SEE AT LEAST WE SAW DEW POINT TEMPERATURES NEAR 60. IN SOME CASES WE ARE GOING TO DEFINITELY SEE THOSE DEW POINTS CONTINUE TO CLIMB THROUGHOUT THE REST OF TODAY INTO TOMORROW. AND WITH THAT ADDED MOISTURE, MEANING THE CHANCE FOR RAIN INCREASES AS WELL, WE HAVE GOT IMPACT WEATHER FOR YOU TO TALK ABOUT HERE FOR TODAY INTO TONIGHT. THERE IS GOING TO BE SEVERAL ROUNDS OF RAIN POSSIBLE WHERE NUMEROUS SHOWERS EVEN SOME THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP, LEADING TO PONDING ON THE ROADS, MAYBE WATER COVERING THOSE ROADWAYS LATER ON THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SO A FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THE REST OF TODAY. FOR THE HEART OF THE BALTIMORE METRO AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES, AN ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAN’T BE RULED OUT. WE ALSO HAVE THAT MARGINAL RISK FOR SEEING SEVERE WEATHER LATER ON TODAY DAMAGING WIND GUSTS, MAYBE EVEN SOME HAIL AND TORNADO RISK. NOT COMPLETELY ZERO. SO WE CAN’T COMPLETELY RULE THAT OUT THROUGH TODAY INTO TONIGHT. SO YOU’LL WANT TO STAY FOCUSED ON THAT FORECAST FOR TODAY. THROUGHOUT THE REST OF TODAY. AND THEN AGAIN, THAT IMPACT OF FLOODING STILL POSSIBLE. WE’VE GOT A FRONT THAT’S MAINLY DOWN TO OUR SOUTH THAT IS GOING TO LIFT NORTHWARD AS A WARM FRONT LATER ON TODAY, LEADING TO MORE MOISTURE. AND OF COURSE, THAT CHANCE FOR SOME SHOWERS AND STORMS TO DEVELOP, WHICH COULD ALSO LEAD TO THAT CHANCE FOR SOME SEVERE WEATHER LATER ON. BUT FOR THE MOST PART, AT THIS MOMENT IT’S REALLY QUIET ACROSS THE STATE OF MARYLAND. AS YOU CAN SEE, A CLOSE UP SHOT HERE ON LIVE RADAR. SOME SPOTTY LIGHT RAIN AROUND OFF TO OUR EAST. THE REST OF THE STATE PRIMARILY DRY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME SHOWERS NOW TRYING TO MOVE INTO WESTERN MARYLAND. THERE OVER THE MOUNTAINS. FUTURECAST HERE WE GO. LET ME TAKE YOU THROUGH THE REST OF TODAY INTO TONIGHT, WHERE THERE COULD BE A CLUSTER OF SHOWERS AND STORMS DEVELOPING RIGHT IN THE HEART OF RUSH HOUR BETWEEN 4 AND 6:00. WE COULD BE SEEING SOME OF THOSE STRONGER CELLS DEVELOP DUMPING HEAVY RAIN, PRODUCING GUSTY WIND. AGAIN, MAYBE EVEN SOME HAIL. SO DON’T BE SURPRISED IF YOU SEE THAT LATER ON TODAY. THIS EVENING AROUND 11:00 PM, EXPECTING SOME OF THAT ACTIVITY TO SOMEWHAT TAPER OFF, BUT NOT COMPLETELY BECAUSE GUESS WHAT? WE’RE EXPECTING A COLD FRONT TO SWING THROUGH BY THURSDAY. THAT’S GOING TO TRIGGER ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FOR US. SO BACK TO BACK IMPACT DAYS WITH THIS ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AND HOW MUCH RAIN ARE WE REALLY EXPECTING OUT OF THIS SYSTEM? ANYWHERE BETWEEN 1 TO 2IN. CERTAINLY POSSIBLE AS WE GET THROUGH THAT TIME. UNFORTUNATELY, IT LOOKS LIKE THE COMPUTER SYSTEM MIGHT BE A LITTLE FROZEN HERE. OH, THERE, WE’VE GOT IT BACK UP AND RUNNING. SO YES, WE ARE GOING TO SEE SOME OF THAT RAIN MOVING IN BY THURSDAY AFTERNOON. YEAH THIS IS A LITTLE SLOWER SYSTEM BUT YOU CAN SEE DRYING OUT FRIDAY. NO WORRIES THERE FOR FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND. ONCE THAT COLD FRONT COMES
