Otesaga Resort Hotel - Cooperstown
Built in 1909, this luxury resort is one of Upstate's grandest hotels. Commanding an exquisite view of James Fenimore Cooper's fabled Otsego Lake, the hotel has several places to eat. All are equally delicious and all offer stunning views of the water. No trip to the Otesaga is complete without having a co*cktail while sitting in an Adirondack rocking chair out on their sweeping lakeview veranda. And hey...isn't that a Baseball Hall of Famer rocking in the chair next to you?

The Lakeside Restaurant - Hammondsport
Located right on the west shore of Keuka Lake, the Lakeside has been serving food and libations to sun worshippers since the 1930s. Now they are open all year round. The three tier outdoor deck is comfortable and the menu ranges from steaks to seafood. In the summer, the nightly campfires can be great fun.

Rudy's Lakeside Drive-In - Oswego
This venerable lakeside restaurant has been a local favorite since 1946. The food and fun of Rudy's keeps their customers coming back season after season (they close on Columbus Day at 6 pm). You will find all of your favorite comfort foods (and more) on Rudy's menu including mac and cheese, crab cakes, coney dogs (they are famous for their homemade Texas Hot sauce), seafood platters and more. And for the adventurers in your group, go for the fried bologna sandwich or the "Not So Routine Poutine."Located just a quarter mile west of downtown Oswego on the shores of Lake Ontario.

The Lake House - Richfield Springs
A venerable spot, this 1843 inn features fine dining and comfortable lodging in a cool setting under the pines along Canadarago Lake. Chef Michael Gregory has prepared meals for movie stars, tourists, presidents and world leaders over his remarkable career. The back deck and sloping lawn go right down to the lake's edge. Canadarago has been named one of the cleanest lakes in the state. The Lake House is located15 milesnortheast of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

The Athenaeum Hotel - Chautauqua Lake
A view from the dining room here can be unforgettable. Chautauqua Lake stretches out before you in all of its blue, green and white-capped splendor. The towering hotel is reputed to be the largest wooden hotel east of the Mississippi. Many A-list celebrities have dined here, usually before or after making an appearance at the nearby Chautauqua Institution. Thomas Edison ate here, as did President Bill Clinton. Built in 1881, this awesome place is known for delicious dining in the Heirloom Restaurant.

Harpoon Eddie's - Sylvan Beach
A perfect location right where all the beach action is. Just outside the two outdoor decks you can watch sand volleyball players, boaters and watercraft pulling skiers, families at play and bikini-clad girls sunbathing. Lots of live entertainment here. Established in 1984, the restaurants offers more than 30 beers and a menu that runs the gamut from pizza to salads to seafood and more. And it's a great spot to catch a memorable sunset.

Riveredge Resort - Alexandria Bay
The view from the Jacques Cartier restaurant here is one of the best in Upstate. Floor to ceiling windows frame the view of the deep blue St. Lawrence River with famous Boldt Castleseemingly right at your fingertips. Fodor's Travel gave the restaurant an excellent review saying, "The kitchen turns out fine American and French fare, all presented with flair."

Boardwalk Restaurant - Lake George
A sprawling place situated right on the "Queen of the Lakes." They boast two dining areas. The downstairs restaurant is more on the fancy side featuring steaks, pasta and seafood. Upstairs is more casual with pulled pork sandwiches (they make their own barbecue sauce), burgers, crab cakes and family fare. Both places offer a stunning view of the lake.

Riverfront Bar and Grill - Albany
Not just at the water's edge but actuallyon the water!This popular eatery and bar is a renovated 1950s-era coffee ground barge that plied the waters between Albanyand New York City. It was tricked out into a restaurant in 1996. A fun and tasty diversion from the power and politics of Albany, this place is not open in the winter. The menu features steaks, seafood, sandwiches and more. Try their Penne ala Vodka.

The Blue Canoe - Tuscarora Lake
A local favorite since the 1940s. Tucked away at the northern end of the lake, the Blue Canoe features inside or outside dining. An outdoor deck provides a beautiful view of the lake. End your meal in style with s'mores right at your table. The server will bring you a small hibachi, marshmallows, graham crackers and Hershey's chocolate. With tongue in cheek the menu advises "some assembly required." Located 30-miles southeast of Syracuse.
