Strong start and super strong finish. But that one character in the middle made it a struggle to finish this book. Still a great cast of characters and super curious about what will happen next. Maybe a move on? but that one character. I mean.... can a hero BE any less interesting. :D Excited for the next. And maybe in my sleepiness last night I saw its already out?

Worth the wait. I’ll be honest, I was not expecting this volume of the Boxxy story to be as intense as it was when my finger clicked the Purchase button. Expectations from the last couple of books lead me to believe that Kiera would spent a good chunk of this book dealing with the events of the War and her little vacation in the snow. Maybe one of Edward’s Inner Circle might of played tag with our favorite WTF embodiment, but that was it. (My money was on either Question or Zone with Bandit being an outside possibility) No, Neven, you gave this reader a conflict that was beyond satisfying and believable within the setup you built up. Now you’ve set up your walking embodiment of WTF to do something else AND added a new mixer into the story. Can’t wait to see what happens when they meet.
Thank you.
The only complaint I have is the fact that Question did not get kicked thru enough walls. (I’ll be honest, that has to be my favorite character intro ever.)

My Rating System: [Audiobook Version] This series is not for the faint of heart. The series contains multiple graphic scenes that are explicit in detail and can be quite upsetting to many, to say the least. You have been warned.
5- Perfect for my taste, I could not physically stop reading/listening and wanted more afterward.
4- Almost perfect, could not stop reading/listening, probably wanted more afterward.
3- I enjoyed the book and could see others loving it, I need to think if I want more.
2- I can see why others might like the book, but I could not, I do not want more.
1- What is this? What went wrong? Why did they do this? This doesn't make any sense! (No idea who it is for, but definitely not for me).

"Stain", book 8 in the Everybody Loves Large Chests series by Neven Iliev, was a mixed bag for me. I'm not particularly interested in the fantasy world Iliev has created, I just want to see the latest antics of Boxxy T. Morningwood, monster extraordinaire. And for most of the audiobook, Boxxy was absent, except for Kiera, his "cute" character creation who generally gets on my last nerve. However! In the last 3 hours of the story the situation improved drastically and a 3-star read rocketed to a solid 5 stars as confrontations that have been simmering for seven previous books finally boiled over into an amazing conclusion. Soundbooth Theater does a good job of bringing the characters to life.

4.75 stars. I loved the end of the gilded hand. This had been something I had waited to see for quite some time I was glad fizzy got to finish Edward off. I also like the introduction of Sigmund law in the epilogue, can't wait to see him put so many of the humans in there place as Teresa's hero. This whole book was entertaining from beginning to end. I do wonder if Stain will have a larger role in the upcoming books as this one was named after her and she had a fairly minor role considering. While Mortimer and Teresa also had books named after them they were deities and their introductions made sense as the name of the book.

A continued guilty pleasure Undoubtedly one of my favorite series of all times. This seems to be the conclusion of much of the current story arch. Boxxy continues to grow, not so much in power (though there is some of that in the beginning)' but in personality. For a one year old box he has evolved considerably with long term goals. Even so his true loves remain tasties and shinies. Tom out

Boxy shall and WILL get all the shiny things. It carries on from the last story perfectly while bringing back old characters and tying up form older enemies and battles. I was worried near the end as thinking this could be the last book. Will this be how it ends??? but luckily no we have a lot more to tell and go on so keep them coming and I will get them all. These series are my tasty treats.

Another Banger This author keeps dropping diamonds. None of the books so far have been bad or boring. Explinative heavy maybe but needed. I didn't read the side story and for anyone wondering you don't really need to in order to read this one.

Great!!! Just the best body ever!. Yes the fight scenes are unequaled. The characters are just so shiny. n the writing and ideas are crisp and flavor filled. I can not say enough positive things about this man eating monster.

While this series is quite well written, it's changed a fair bit from how it started. That is a good thing, but I just don't care that much about the path it's taken. Though I still enjoy the books, I don't love them. Time for me to leave this series.

As good as the last if not better. I never thought I could care so much about a monster until I met Boxxy. I am invested and can't wait to see what he does next. May his path ever lead to tasty and shiny things. Bless Neven Iliev for sharing these tales. Lead on.

Just as fun and twisted as ever! The voices and narrating that sound booth theater has done for this series is just awesome. One of my favorites. Specifically the voice of the queen slime. Was simultaneously revolting and mesmerizing at the same time. Awesome stuff.

Hope this is entertaining and fun. Read some dry books recently. This was somewhat tasty. It didn't have the random craziness as the start of the series, but it was entertaining nonetheless. Will pick up the sequel someday. 3/5 Stars

Awesome Absolutely refreshing, amazing, funny, yet serious, chock-full of adventure with a hint of pleasure all because of crazy-ass monster called 'BOXXY'. Keep them coming as I will keep on reading them.

awesome This is/was great. SBT need to tweak the background sound down in places as it over power the narration.
I still appreciate the audio, just lower the volume.

Death! Love the bait and switch! If you have read Small chests are fine too you can get what I mean about the cover and expected character. I loved this Boxxy being Boxxy but also Fizzy growing so much! It was so nice seeing this arc coming to an end but a new one coming to fruition from the last book. I agree with another reviewer that there was nowhere near enough Question being put through a wall by Edwards foot. However there were a lot of dang didn’t see that coming moments. I cannot wait for the next one!

If a stain could be shiny this would be it. The only blemish I found was the title's namesake and synopsis text setup an expectation that wasn't delivered. An amateur alternative synopsis written after my first read through.
Boxxy squares off against it's second greatest enemy. Before that our chesty Hero of Chaos has reunions both welcome and unwanted. The secret organizations, government groups and other schemer's plans grow more complex while trying find a winning angle. They continue to push Morningwood into a corner and attempt grand plans to box it into unescapable situations. There is also a hint of new adventure over the horizon as Boxxy makes more deals to save it's hinges and of course it's shinies.

Fun read with a strong start and finish. It was strange that the character that the book is named after is little more than an afterthought at the end.
